Summerlin, Inspirada, Cadence and Skye Canyon are four master-planned communities in the Las Vegas Valley and all ranked in the top 50 of best selling master-plan communities in the country.

Summerlin had the largest increase of home sales in the nation for the first half of 2018 and ranked 3 in the country of top master-plans.  There were 772 home sold from January 1 thru June 30- which is 64 percent gain from last year when 470 homes were sold last year during the same time period.

EDGEVIEW BY CENTURY COMMUNITIES NOW OPEN

This past weekend Century Communities, a top 10 homebuilder in the United States, opened Edgeview a neighborhood in the southwest Las Vegas Valley.

Edgeview is a gated neighborhood that offers 104 homesites of single-story homes with elevations in desert contemporary and modern.  There are three model homes to view ranging from 1,750 to 2,204 square feet and prices starting in the high $300,000s.  The homes offer two to four bedrooms, 2 ½ to 4 baths and two-car garages.

Atlanta, the former No. 1 new-home market, remains a barometer for the nation. At 25,000 permits, Atlanta is still the third largest new home market in the U.S., but almost nine years into our “recovery,” we are still 50% below our pre-bubble normal (Atlanta permit chart). This is in spite of nearly a decade of positive job growth, positive in-migration and population growth. All of MarketNsight’s 18 cities across the Southeast exhibit this trend. Homebuilder sentiment drops in June due to soaring lumber costs

U.S. homebuilders are thrilled with demand for housing, but they say they are being hamstrung by rising costs for lumber.

Builder sentiment fell 2 points to 68 in June, according to the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index. The index stood at 66 last June. A reading above 50 is considered positive sentiment.

SKYE CANYON PHASE TWO NOW OPENED WITH MODEL HOMES TO VIEW

This past weekend Skye Canyon, in the northwest part of the Las Vegas Valley, had a grand opening of Phase Two with sixteen model homes to view in six different neighborhoods. The homebuilders are Pulte Homes and Woodside Homes, both these builders are partners in the Nevada Builder Trade In Program that the Smith Team operates. Additionally, models were opened by two other builders, Pardee Homes and Richmond American.

TWO NEW NEIGHBORHOODS OPENED IN TULE SPRINGS BY PARDEE HOMES

Blackstone and Larimar from Pardee Homes opened this past weekend in The Villages at Tule Springs, an area of North Las Vegas.  There are seven model homes to view in this community.

The Blackstone neighborhood offers four roomy floor plans with prices starting from $398,000.  Plan 1 is a single-story home that measures 2,571 square feet and has three bedrooms.  There is Plan 2 measuring 3,197 square feet, Plan 3 offers 3,481 square feet and Plan 4 is 3,892 square feet.
